By Megan QuistYou know the old tanks with lace on the top of them that were all the rage with a matching sweater from Abercrombie when we were younger? Well now there is a fashionable twist to them! Adding a few more inches of lace, and a plain white tee, and you’ve got a whole new look. From celebrities such as Kendall Jenner to the clothing section of Target, this trend has blown up. The best part? You do not need to go out and buy a new shirt! I'm sure everyone has a white tee in their closet, and or some sort of lace tank. Mix and match! Another switch up on this trend is making it into a crop top. If you have a looser bralette that can also be paired with a tee. Mainly I have seen black and white combos of this, but any color scheme is plausible. Mine outfit is made up of a white tee that actually has lettering on it, but the tank covers it up. The lace dress/shirt is actually a night gown from Victoria's Secret. Lol. But it still works! I would recommend more cotton based lace items during the day as I felt a little awkward in this silky one. (And the fact that we shot this in 20 degree weather). But either way just own your look! I paired it off with thigh high suede grey boots. They are from the Ivanka Trump line. People have also been pairing velvet dresses with tees as well as turtlenecks. Check out the insta below. Fashion cycles so hold on to your old stuff! Have fun styling Fashionistas.

By Megan QuistNo need to always wear tights! Before Minnesnowta hits take advantage of the knee high to thigh high boot trend. Depending on the length of your skirt, dress, or shorts, also pair some knee high to thigh high socks with the look. My favorite are always socks with ruffled and or button detailing. To complete the look I am wearing a French Connection skirt with simple black details, and pleats. The turtleneck is paired with a choker. But, this Choker I made into a bolo tie inspired wrap because of the turtleneck being in the way. Lastly, the nails are coffin shaped, and a cute maroon red fall shade. The ripped denim (From Gap) adds a touch of personality to the outfit, and doesn't take much more effort than putting on a pair of leggings. Paired with an H&M sweater, that is a mock turtleneck. Paired with a longer solid jacket is perfect for Minnesota Fall which has been fabulously warm lately. Booties are all the rage and range from black, brown, grey, blue, any color out there! They are comfortable and add a little height. To add some flare get some with fringe! Add a few accessories to jazz up the solid color pallets. Quote from Sydnee: "I am loving mock turtlenecks, fringed hems, and oversized bombers." This outfit stood out to me because it is comfortable yet still looks put together. The shirt says "phone, keys, wallet, coffee" and she even had a coffee in her hand! It is paired with a 2 part jacket that is a cotton sweater with some leather elements added. Some black ripped jeans are a staple item that every girl needs in her closet! From going out to casual walks to class these are perfect for any occasion. Then as for the accessories, baseball caps are very much in! Usually you see Pinterest girls wearing Yankees, but the Cubs was very appropriate for the World Series game! Lastly converse. No questions asked, always put on some converse. By Maria Bentson With Spring upon us, and Summer fast approaching it seems as though the look for girls everywhere is that comfy, casual, chic, lite, bohemian look. Add these Boho essentials to your wardrobe to create the Indie look you are after.

In this Minnesota weather it’s not always easy to dress to express when you have to bundle up and brave the cold just to get your daily dose of Starbucks, oh and to go to class too. What I do see on my walks around campus are shoes, specifically boots. On the icy sidewalks and (sorta) snow covered streets boots have been the best friends to our feet this season. I’m not talking about those clunky chunky things your mom used to make you wear just to get on the bus in elementary school, no, I’m talking about Sorels, Hunters, and Timberlands.
For the girls wearing Sorels (myself included) these are all about style, warmth, and of course warmth. There’s so many different styles of Sorels so it makes picking out a pair fun and unique. Hunters: are not only for jumping in puddles and dancing in the rain, but are also an awesome accessory. They come in so many colors, short and tall, so every pair is an expression of their beloved owner. Not to mention the adorable socks to go with! Timberlands: are a new breed of boot for girls around here. I have seen them pop up more and more as the year goes on and they are an interesting piece to add to your wardrobe. I’ve seen more guys than girls in Timberlands, but girls are beginning to rock them, adding an edge to a girly outfit. 1. Slips: Nasty Gal $35 2. Colorblock sweater: Urbanoutfitters $59 3.
