By Annie HeilI am writing today to inform you that this will officially be my last blog post for TWIN. L I am off to study abroad in Florence, Italy in about a month and at that time another FABulous beauty blogger will take over my page on our blog.
That being said, I have thoroughly enjoyed writing for TWIN this past year and it is very bittersweet to officially say “goodbye”! The people I have met, things I have learned, and opportunities this blog has given me are something I will never forget and I have truly enjoyed sharing my beauty tips & tricks with all of you. At the very least, I hope my posts have provided you with some entertainment and you enjoyed reading them as much as I enjoyed writing them. If you’ve read any of my posts before you know I’m a sucker for a good quote so it’s only fitting I leave you with one last one before I go! After all, in the wise words of Dr.Suess “Don’t cry because it’s over, smile because it happened.” :) Ciao & Xo, Annie By Jozy CaulfieldFinals are here and Christmas is near! -Julia and Jenessa By Allie SontagI hope you all have enjoyed reading the TWIN blog the past few months! Unfortunately, it is time to say goodbye for the summer. But no worries, we’ll be back in the fall!
It has been amazing working with TWIN this semester. I loved sharing lifestyle tips and tricks from how to destress to how to prepare for a music festival. The TWIN ladies are so inspiring and have so much to share, from beauty and fashion to fitness and food. Check back in the fall for more lifestyle posts! Have a FANTASTIC summer! ~Allie By Annie HeilDear lovelies,
I am writing this post to you today not to say “goodbye” but rather “see you later”. Our spring semester at college has come to an end and unfortunately due to logistics the “Beauty” section of our blog will be inactive during the months of May through August. Don’t let this ruin your summer though! I know you all RELIGIOUSLY read my blog posts and couldn’t imagine your life without them but I promise I will return as soon as school starts up again in the fall. (Okay I got a little carried away there, this could be your first time reading my blog!) Regardless, I will miss the temporary absence of “TWIN” as a whole along with the amazing opportunity it gave me to share my beauty knowledge with the world. I plan on coming back from the summer refreshed, determined and focused and I cannot wait to write more come fall. So keep your eyes peeled! Because as soon as those leaves start changing you will hear from the “TWIN” team again. That being said, have an amazing summer and if you are taking final exams finish strong and take a peek at Ryan Gosling below. They’ll be over before you know it and as my mother would say, C’s get degrees! :) Xo, Annie By Maria BentsonThe school year often makes us feel confined to campus by homework, work schedules, money, and transportation. It is hard to get off campus and experience some of the amazing opportunities that the city of Minneapolis holds. It is so important to go out and experience life and try new things. With summer upon us, time becomes freer and I often find myself trying to think of unique things to do with friends other than sitting in a basement. While searching for a birthday gift for my friend, I discovered that the Whole Foods Market at the Lake Calhoun location offers a variety of cooking classes. Of course, I signed us up. I really had no idea what to expect from the class and didn’t even think of reading reviews to see what others thought of it. If Whole Foods was putting it on I was 100% down. The class ended up blowing away all of my expectations. The class is rather private with only 8 people per class and led by a well renowned chef in the metro area by the name of Ani Loizzo. The specific class was catered toward the vegan diet featuring all Mexican dishes because of Cinco de Mayo. Ani allowed us to be very hands on with the cooking of each dish and of course we got to eat everything we made! The food we made was some of the best I have ever had, and the knowledge that we learned from her has the class had gone on was extremely insightful and helpful. If you are looking for a fun thing to do this summer I highly recommend looking at the different cooking classes that are offered there. It is a great way to spend time with your friends, learn about healthy eating and how to prepare dishes, and you get an extra bonus of a dinner out of it too! The classes can be found on the link below. I wish you all an amazing summer filled with fun, family, friends, and love! Don’t work your whole summer away. Find time to do new, adventurous things. You will thank yourself later.

Today, I’m not here with the latest trend for you, but instead I’m here to let you know that we won’t be posting anymore for the summer. Luckily for you, though, once the next semester starts back up, you will be seeing even more great posts! As a sort of farewell to you lovely readers, I wanted to just rattle off a few of my other favorite trends that I’ll be wearing all summer. Oversized denim coats, overalls, pairing sneakers with dresses, and heeled clogs are my focus right now, but I’m excited to see what other random trends pop up. My best advice if you are hoping to try a new trend but aren’t sure where to start is to do a little search on Pinterest, pick your favorite look, and make it your own. If you really really don’t know where to start and don’t want a lot of creative freedom, you can even just go to your favorite store and buy the pieces that they pair together on the mannequin. However you choose to do it, you’ll all look lovely this summer. Rock all your finals, enjoy the nice weather, and be sure to hop on back once classes start again to find out what we’ve been up to! And finally, thanks for letting us all share our thoughts with you, and thanks for making it a great semester!
